Resetting the TOUCH TRACKER
If TOUCH TRACKER commands are not working properly, or the system is
not operating as expected, try resetting the T
OUCH TRACKER. Before you
reset a T
OUCH TRACKER, however, have your System Administrator run a
diagnostic test on that T
OUCH TRACKER. This test is called a network ping.
This test is accessed through the Administrator's Menu Utilities Network
Maintenance function. The network ping test enables you to isolate the
T
OUCH TRACKER and determine if it is causing the problem.
If the System Administrator determines that the T
OUCH TRACKER has a
problem, you can reset that T
OUCH TRACKER.
1. At the Utility Mode prompt, press
6.
The LCD displays the following prompt:
2. To reset the T
OUCH TRACKER, press 0; to exit without resetting, press
Clear Entry.
The Utility Menu disappears from the screen, the T
OUCH TRACKER beeps
and its lights momentarily go out.
When the T
OUCH TRACKER comes back up, the “Enter Password?” prompt
is displayed on the LCD (if passwords are enabled). If passwords are not
enabled, the monitor and camera numbers are blank, and the T
OUCH
TRACKER address is displayed on the LCD. Remember to select a monitor
before you begin VM96 operation again.
